He's a church griffin. And before you ask what that is—

[ Alex taps the screen of the smartwatch comm device, brings up his photo gallery, and sends a picture of the petite lap griffin that he found when he went back to his own egg. He's pretty big for a housecat, what with the added beak and wingspan that the raven half of him. ]

My youngest sister named him. Kind of. When I brought him home as a chick, I was calling him Poe- you know, like Edgar Allen? [ He smirks at the memory, with the kind of mixed pride that comes with getting absolutely owned by one's little sibling. ] Annie took one look at him and said that naming a black-feathered griffin 'Crow' was the least imaginative thing I'd ever done. I spent so much time defending 'my' name choice that I didn't actually notice until he was answering to it that it wasn't actually my name choice.

I'm pretty sure that was her intention the whole time, too.

[ The flight comment catches his interest, and he raises an eyebrow curiously. He's guessing that Sam means via that fancy suit, but he doesn't want to assume anything. He's met a guy here who can duplicate matter on his own, self-propelled flight doesn't seem that out there. Especially since he knows a few people back home with some very different ideas about how gravity should and shouldn't apply to them. ]
