Or some approximation of it, I don't really have the anatomy for that language... You don't like hearing things in Ravkan? I'm glad I can understand people, but I would've liked to hear human languages.

It's more mechanically sound. Glue holding up much weight, if you don't have the right sort, either starts to break down over time or lose its connection to whatever it's applied to. Or it doesn't, but the outer layers of the thing it's glued to feel the strain and pull loose. That's what happened here, see?

Tape can work more like cord if you have enough of it, and then even if and when the adhesive fails the backing still holds things together. I've only got the one roll of the really strong tape though, so if I can find another way...
