"That depends on which country you're from," it's said lightly enough, but personally Nina thinks a lot of trouble could have been avoided if people cared less about such things. Or perhaps that wasn't fair, perhaps it wasn't if people cared less, but if people cared more, and were less concerned with using their beliefs as an excuse to kill other people. "Fjerda has Djel, for example, while Kerch serves Ghezen, the god of commerce. They're a very practical people, the Kerch."

There is a decisive splat of bright yellow paint on paper as Nina begins crafting an "F".

"In Ravka, we mostly concern ourselves with the Saints, since they're the ones who seem to get things done."

She finds she could, in fact, let the hate flow through her. Dangerous to give into that, since apparently she's still angry about some things, but right now she's focusing on making curly cues that look, frankly, horrible and are placed entirely wrong. But she's got the spirit.
