Yes, Steve would be permitted to borrow a rain shield, but it would very much be a trial run — and if he fails to return it or returns it beaten up (without offering to fix it!) then he will lose whatever goodwill he has accrued so far. The donation of fancy tech only does so much!

In all honesty, Rémi likes his punk attitude because it's very much a case of like recognizing like. Overall he's exasperated but tolerant of Steve at the moment.
